Some of you may be wondering “What is HR Tech, and why is it such a big deal?” HR Tech is Human Resource Executive’s HR Technology Conference & Exposition, and it’s one of the largest HR-related events in the world. The conference is four full days – and I literally mean four full days – of intensive networking, mind-blowing sessions, and, of course- innovative technologies.
To give you an idea as to the sheer size of this event, there are 422 confirmed vendors this year, over 110 sessions to attend, tens of thousands of attendees, and more after-hours networking events than I can even begin to count.
We had a blast last year as members of the startup pavilion, and we were honored to win second place in the Next Great HR Technology competition. But this year is different. We’re back (bigger and better before) and excited to hit the Vegas strip with the rest of HR.
If you had to ask what I was most excited for, it’s tough to say. The lineup for speakers and sessions is seriously impressive:
- Jason Averbook, Steve Boese, and Ray Wang will be discussing the past, present and future of HR technology
- Matt Charney is going to rip into what’s new and what’s next in HR Tech (startups specifically)
- Gerry Crispin will take a deep dive into enterprise-level talent acquisition technology
- Trish McFarlane is going to break your data down, and showcase the impact of women leaders in technology
- Tim Sackett, Allyn Bailey, and Jessica Lee plan to lay out what it really takes to build the perfect HR Tech
And that’s just the start! The speakers that they’ve chosen to participate at HR Tech 2017 are insightful, engaging, and fun. I’ll be doing my best to tweet out snippets and soundbites from different sessions, but I can’t be everywhere at once. If you find yourself in an awesome panel, hear something amazing, or are voting on this year’s Next Great HR Tech, please tweet it out! Just be sure to add #HRTechConf or @ClickBoardingHR so I can follow along.
I’m also pumped to be on the show floor. It’s MASSIVE. I definitely recommend downloading the event app so you can pull up the map and mark your favorite vendors. You can find us in booth #2463 ready to talk all things onboarding, engagement, automation, and the best buffets in Vegas, so be sure to come say hi!
As a side note- we’re working on something special just for you guys. I can’t talk specifics just yet, but be on the lookout for updates!
If you haven’t gotten around to getting your tickets yet, and you really want to go, don’t worry. This truly is a fantastic show, and a one-of-a-kind experience for people in the human capital space. I’m so happy to be a part of it, and I look forward to seeing you there!
