Just like that, the North American Human Resources Executive Summit has come to a close. And after two full days of compelling keynotes, thought-provoking breakouts and captivating conversations, we’re feeling quite inspired.
NAHRES21 brought together HR executives from across the continent to network, learn and discuss real challenges in today’s unique world. This fully virtual show featured a star line-up of HR celebrities including the likes of Jennifer Christine from Twitter and Lars Minns from Mercedes Benz. Needless to say, it was one for the books.
As we reflect on this interactive experience, a few key themes come to mind…
1. Although incredibly challenging, the novel Coronavirus outbreak ultimately accelerated progress to decentralize and diversify our workforces. In many ways, it has become the catalyst for positive change.
2. In today’s competitive, uncertain dynamic, organizations that put their employees first will succeed. It starts with seeing your team as humans. According to Kamy Scarlett at Best Buy, we must find joy in “leading one employee at a time.”
3. Workforce diversity and inclusion are paramount. It’s time to foster involvement and ensure every team member has a voice. Such an endeavor demands a hard look at people, process and technology to allow for a level playing field.
4. HR has officially reached the era of digital transformation. HR has evolved dramatically over the years, and it’s now seen as a potential profit-center for the business. One that can provide real value to the bottom line.
Throughout the show, Team Click held four intimate product demonstrations. We were incredibly humbled by the positive feedback we received, and thrilled to discuss employee engagement challenges with leading, enterprise brands!
